This year, we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of Little House on the Prairie. I was able to travel to the United States to attend the Simi Valley Chamber of Commerce’s Stakeholder Reunion and Festival on March 22, 23, and 24.
Several events had been organized:
1- At the Rancho Santa Susana Community Center, in the gymnasium, the interiors of the Oleson’s little house, school, and store had been recreated. Several backdrops (The Little House, Laura on her horse Bunny, the Ingalls family) had been placed in different locations so that everyone could take a picture in front of them. There were also vendors and a display of documents or objects related to the series and its filming.
In another room, there were tables where each actor could sell and sign their photos. We could also take selfies or have our personal belongings signed.
We also had the opportunity to take professional photos with each actor.
Outside, there was a large tent where actors, food trucks, and many exhibitors regularly performed…
2- The bus tour of Big Sky Ranch, where the exterior scenes of the series were filmed. Facades were placed where the main buildings were located during filming.
