Little House on the Prairie Models – Meet the cast of Little House on the Prairie. Miniature Christmas Villages (Dept 56, Luville, Lemax)
I was able to travel to California, USA, to participate in a new “Little House on the Prairie” event. This one is taking place in Columbia State Historic Park, a Gold Rush town that was transformed into a state park in 1945. This is where some scenes from the episodes “Someone Please Love Me” (season 5), “Sweet Sixteen” (season 6), and “The In-Laws” (season 7) were filmed.
The first day begins with the parade of actors in beautiful cars or in the stagecoach for Alison.
Then, meet and greet with fans.
The day ends with a VIP dinner with the actors at the restaurant in Columbia.
The second day begins with a VIP breakfast at 8 a.m. in the same restaurant as the day before.
Then again, meet and greet and sign autographs with the fans. This second day ends in Jamestown at Railtown 1897 State Historic Park. A “Wine & Cheese” evening followed by a ride aboard a train pulled by the famous number 3 locomotive featured in several episodes. A superb atmosphere but also an emotional one in front of the portrait of Kent McCray, producer of the series. This evening takes place on his birthday (June 7).
